Dolce Gabbana - Family Portrait Inspiration

The above images were taken by photographer Giampaolo Sgura for the new Dolce Gabbana campaign. I love everything about them!! Starring Monica Bellucci I think as the sexy Sicilian mum and the beautiful Bianca Balti and a bunch of beautiful Italians of all ages.

Many brands have tried to replicate the sexy Sicilian vibe including Louis Vuitton with Madonna but I feel Sgura's images are convincing. They are full of life and wonderful Italian details and sexy enough that they would make any mere mortal want to run out and buy a whole wardrobe full of Dolce Gabbana or at least a lace tablecloth.

From a photographer's point of view the images are great because Mr. Sgura has managed to create a great feeling with a lot of people in the shot some simple and others full of life. The more people the harder it is to place them, orchestrate them and create some energy between them that feels real. Bravo Mr. Sgura beautiful work!

I thought these images would be wonderful inspiration for portrait photographers specialising in families. There is so much inspiration here from the great compositions and beautiful placement of people, the wonderful backdrops at the sea and in the old town and of course the styling.. Just switch with real people and add water!!
