You Make Me Feel Like Laughing!!

It's my birthday today!! I normally never tell anyone but the sun is shining in Paris today, my darling is taking me out for dinner tonight and he gave me Ellen Von Unwerth's big fat volume called Fraulein with pics of millions of gorgeous girls!!

Hence I am jumping for joy!

And so were my parents when I was born. I started off straight away breaking records.. Yes, fattest baby ever born in Camperdown Hospital at the time. 12lbs 1 ounce,  I popped straight out with a beer gut and a punk hair do.. My father was mortified when he went to see me and all the other parents were commenting that I was so big I must have been left for adoption! The doctor was thrilled at having a little 'monster' in the hospital he joked I was so big that they could give me a suitcase and an apple and I could go straight to school. Our family has had many laughs over the photos of me during the first months of my life.

Today I want to share some pics that make me laugh! So often on a shoot we all end up doubled over clutching our stomachs laughing over something silly I have asked my subjects to do or their reaction to it. The laughs .. have to be the best thing about taking pics and having babies..

    Happy Birthday and many happy returns! October is one of my favorite months. And Carla, these are beautiful! I struggle and struggle with portraiture. I spend the afternoon yesterday taking some pictures of some beautiful ladies, and I woke up in the middle of the night wishing I'd done SO much more. I wonder if they'll let me come back....
