Oh youth! These pics were taken on the beach at Positano. The top one is of the exuberant Eliza full of enthusiam and joy.. The bottom was taken in a quieter moment on the same day.She is divine whatever mood she is in..
To achieve the muted colours in the bottom pic I have used a 'bleach bypass' effect which desaturates the colours..
Hope you are enjoying the summer..

ReplyDeleteCarla - I LOVE these! She is a sweet girl, and so pretty! How do you so the bleach bypass? I love how it turns out. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a beautiful photographer Carla. I received a bonus from work last month and treated myself to four books you have done photography for. (I already had "Paris Tango")
ReplyDeleteI've already spent several hours just daydreaming while looking at Italian Joy and My Amalfi Coast, they are just so inspiring.
Looking forward to the next book you come out with!
Great portraits she looks like a real sweetheart

ReplyDeleteWonderful Carla, as always. Your workshop in November sounds devine, so wish I could go.
ReplyDeleteCarla - These are beautiful! I adore the B&W - I have a photo of my daughter around the same age, on a beach in Positano, in a stripe suite. Thank you for posting these - they evoke memories of the sun, fun and smells of food and seaside life. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteYour subjects always seem so at ease. A testament to your talent. I love the muted colors.

how perfect to open your post first thing on a Sunday morning...I have a nine year old daughter and she is full of joy and often pensive. You capture her so beautifully the love shows!

Beautiful!! I love the colour in the second.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous portraits.
ReplyDeleteboth beautiful photos of a very pretty young exuberant girl. The top photo, is doubly striking for the mid air pose the strips and the umbrella's framing her also in an upright position with stripes, how clever, and chic.
