I had the pleasure of working with the divine chanteuse Tina Arena for the second time in the past couple of years.
Gourmet Traveller and Tina collaborated on her Paris, a Paris full of glam and down-to-earth places to eat, vist and relax and I was the lucky photographer who took the pics!
Tina is a French national treasure! During the shoot Tina often reminded me of the sultry beauty of Monica Bellucci. A true Mediterranean/Australian/French beauty!! Tina is just as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside and our shoot was full of fun and lots of laughs..
If you are in Australia the issue has just been released and if you would like to have a look at one of Australia's best food and travel mag you can always get their fabulous Ipad App..

ReplyDeleteI like the picture on the terrace and I love to visit Paris. Congratulations with your article.
ReplyDeleteHi Carla,
ReplyDeleteThis spread will be wonderful, Gourmet Traveller is the only mag I buy so looking forward to it. Your photography will be the icing on the cake. Yes, I agree with you, Tina is a lovely person, so nice to hear her interviewed as her 'niceness' leaves a good space in the air. Not to mention that glorious voice.
Have a good week,
Vickix
Hi Carla, Congratulations on the feature! Sounds fabulous – I'm sure your photos are marvelous and I'll try to track down a copy. Love your description of Tina, who I'm not too familiar with. (Hmm, Monica Bellucci, um, well, yes, she's about the ultimate.)
ReplyDeleteWe're heading back to Paris at the end of the month, can't wait. Happy Summer to you.

I love seeing Paris through someone else's eyes! I'll be sure to grab this issue.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully captured as always, Carla!
ReplyDeleteNearly fell over when I saw both yourself and Tina Arena in one post! I saw her a while ago on a program tracing her roots in Sicily, she is a fascinating woman.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough my husbands best friend is her cousin...small world.
ciao for now
Lisa
That's it I'm officially envious. Tina Arena is one smashing looking lady. Well done Carla for scoring the job.
ReplyDeleteI like the shot on the left, very 'Paris'.
ReplyDeleteHi Carla - I will certainly be buying this edition of Gourmet traveller - One of my favourite pieces of music is Tina Arena singing "Les Trois Cloches" in French - it's just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.
There are always the elegance and mystery in your photos. You never fail to make me dream...
ReplyDeleteJust got back from Paris, loved it again... saw Anish Kapoor at the Grand palais which was absolutely mind boggling and walked until my feet couldn't anymore. I will be back soon.
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful. Great photos! And my (Greek) husband and I loved your photo of the Greek woman.

What a wonderful collaboration - I've heard only good things about Tina :)
ReplyDeleteWow she is so beautiful! She's got some of that enviable Marion Cotillard vibe going on as well...
ReplyDeleteHi Carla
ReplyDeleteI've just discovered you via My Amalfi Coast. I have to thank you for the beautiful images in that book. I am only now appreciating the house I have lived in for the past 12-13 years. Our backyard is looking beautiful, courtesy of the qld floods. There are old winding steps and pathways and crumbling masonry which co-exists with the new decking we have installed on our sloping block. But what your photography has revealed to me is that this house was once owned and renovated by southern italians. I'm so glad we didn't (mainly because we couldn't get one in there) bulldoze all their work.
Luv your work, you genius
Nice! Very well done with the picture. Paris is just too good to not memorize visually.
